Be part of history as the world’s fastest, most technologically advanced catamarans come to the UK for the first time ever.

Launched at the end of 2018, SailGP is a revolutionary new global sports championship, combining cutting edge technology with awe-inspiring athleticism.

SailGP will bring nail-biting action to Cowes on Saturday 10 and Sunday 11 August, for what will be the penultimate event in the global championship’s inaugural season.

Racing just metres from the shore off Egypt Point, Cowes SailGP will be a heart-stopping spectacle for fans visiting during the first weekend of the world-famous Cowes Week regatta.

The Great Britain SailGP Team – skippered by Olympian Dylan Fletcher and comprising of some of the country’s top sporting talent – are planning to put on a show for the home crowd as they take on rival teams from Australia, China, France, Japan and the United States. All six teams will race in identical 50-foot foiling catamarans at speeds capable of breaking sailings elusive 50 knot (60mph) speed barrier.

“Cowes SailGP is going to be epic! To race for your country in front of a home crowd – what more could we ask for? Except to top the podium!” Dylan Fletcher, Great Britain SailGP Team Helmsman

With an array of ticketing options both on shore and on the water, as well as a free-to-access Race Village between Cowes Green and Egypt Point, fans can place themselves in the heart of the action. Big screens, live race commentary, stage shows, youth engagement, and more!

Spectators can get prime shore-side views of the racecourse with reserved seats all day in the SailGP Grandstand situated in the Race Village, or upgrade to a privileged ringside position with Cruise Premier in partnership with Red Funnel; an all-inclusive premium on-water hospitality option.

Boat owners can register their own boat to gain access to privileged positions around the racecourse or fans can charter a boat through one of the Official Charter companies; Solent Events or Marine Events.

Book now to secure your seat at this unmissable event and show your support for the home team.
