Review: Cinderella Panto

Words by Girl About Southsea

Taking my eldest daughter to the theatre to see Cinderella, without her sisters, is a memory I know she will never forget. From start to finish she sat on the edge of her seat, foot stomping, clapping, singing and laughing to the hilarious all-singing, all-dancing panto.

There were some familiar faces from the TV, Marcus Patrick from Hollyoaks, Simon Grant from Cbeebies and of course Jake Quickenden X-factor, The jungle and Dancing on Ice.

The fairytale of Cinderella was beautifully realised, with wonderful costumes and set, singalong, innuendos and festive cheer.  Live music and great vocals from the cast, singing some classic pop songs  – we couldn’t help but sing along. I was blown away by the vocals from the cast and the live music throughout the show. The fairy godmother, Natasha Barnes, in particular, took me by surprise, I wasn’t expecting such a powerful performance.

Cinderella is a fun show for all the family, I guarantee you will not be able to leave the theatre without a smile on your face.

Cinderella is at the Kings until 6th January 2019.
