We asked various fitness venues to tell us why people should try their particular discipline.
Why pilates? Pilates is all about creating strength, stretch and control. It strengthens abdominal and back muscles, whilst providing a strong centre to work from. The equipment provides fantastic support for the body, and the mat adds that extra challenge.

Why do Zumba? It’s a dance exercise that’s all about having fun, exercising every muscle, and improving co-ordination.
What’s so special about Gi’s Zumba classes? I thought I’d ask my class to answer this question, here are a couple of their comments: “Gi’s classes are always fantastic and never the same each week, so you don’t get bored”. “The atmosphere is always friendly and relaxed, everyone is welcoming, and I don’t feel embarrassed if I make mistakes”.

Why exercise outdoors? Any form of exercise will have a positive impact on your health, but outdoor exercise is also shown to have a real benefit to mental health too, building resilience and self confidence.
What’s special about Portsmouth Outdoor Fitness? Our trainers are committed to delivering sessions which are enjoyable and improve your fitness. With over 10 sessions per week, we ensure every session is different.
